Jamie’s List 71: City Dressing, My May Edit & The Return Of Polka Dots

May has snuck up on me — and the weather is all over the place.
One minute it’s still technically acceptable to wear a leather coat (as I did yesterday), and the next everything feels lighter: the air, what we’re wearing, and the general mood. I’m trying to lean into it? As I’ve been putting together my May Edit (I will continuously update this), the theme for this month has quickly become easy pants, polka dots, and embracing the repeat-wear.
Here’s what’s on my list this week.
On My List
Wearing these non-stop.
This month, the Bermuda short finally gets the attention it deserves. These are at the top of my list.
The perfect easy pant.
A chic new bag that’s not from The Row.
Love this for an easy date night look.
These are saving me from allergy season.
A chic dress for an upcoming party, at an unbeatable price point.
To throw on when you’re running out the door.
Another great easy pant.
Can confirm that these are as good as they look — and comfortable.
A really great spring/summer jacket.
One of my new favorites. In heavy rotation.

Polka Dots — are very much top of mind, and they’re all over my May Edit. Don’t worry, I’m wearing them, too! When done right, I think they’re so chic…unexpected, playful, and just enough of a push out of my comfort zone. But as my friend Christina Grasso said to me yesterday, they can go “wrong so quickly.” True. I think the key is fabric and scale—but really, it’s all in how you style them. If you’re feeling daring, here are a few pieces at the top of my list: these, this gorgeous blouse (I mean, wow), this skirt, and this whole look for somewhere warm.
New Arrivals - I’ve spotted some new items on pre-order from Totême via Moda that I haven’t seen anywhere else yet. These, this, this dress, this top (love the neck detail) — and finally, these shorts. You know that Totême is my weakness. Immediately adding to cart!
Currently Obsessed - I’m having a full-blown obsession with Donni, and I’m not sure where it came from? The fabrics, the ease…exactly where my head is at right now when it comes to getting dressed ahead of summer.
